Thunder Over Kandahar by Sharon McKay
Some questions to ponder...
- What was your initial reaction upon finishing this book? Did you like it? Why or why not?
- How would you describe the story line? (Fast paced, measured, dragging?)
- Was the author successful at creating believable characters? How or how not?
- What role did the setting play in the story? How was it described?
- Was the language used in the story unique in any way? How?
- Which parts do you remember vividly? What role did these parts play?
- Are there any questions that you would ask the author?
- Are there parts that you would suggest that he/she change or improve?

Such a good book! Even though there is some violence it still captures the readers attention. Another reason it is a good book is because it uses girls the same age as us as the main characters. All in all I loved the book!
ReplyDeleteI just finished this book two nights ago and loved it, too. It made me really think about the varying rights of women around world and how tradition, culture and religion play such a prominent role in these rights for both genders.
ReplyDeleteI would love to talk about the ending and the choice that the main character makes. This choice made me question what the message of the whole book is.
I also found the courage, resourcefulness and will power of the two main characters inspiring. What an incredible book!
