Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman

Thank you to all the grade 7 boys who suggested that I read Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman. It was awesome; funny, witty, fast-paced and clever. Gordon Korman does it again.

What's it about?
Vince Luca is the "son of the mob", the son of Abe Luca who heads the largest crime ring is New York City. His whole family is filled with gangster, including his several "uncles" who appear at all hours of the night, sometimes bleeding with bullet wounds. Vince wants nothing to do with his father's business, but it filters into every aspect of his life, from his success on the football team to his first promising date where he finds a body in his trunk. When Vince finally meets a girl that he likes, it's only fitting that she turns out to be the daughter of a prominent FBI agent. In an attempt to do the right thing, Vince ends up tangled up in his father's business, risking his relationship and his own life.
